Recognitions - ISO and Six Sigma
The plum pox virus testing project has always operated under the ISO 9000 quality standard. The laboratory has three notable quality management designations:
1. ISO 9001:2000 registered by BSI Registrar (5 years)
2. ELISA plum pox test procedure is accredited to ISO 17025 by the Standards Council of Canada (3 years)
3. Six Sigma status has been reached for every million samples tested (2 times)
Potential candidates for jobs at Lab Services are strongly advised to have an understanding of ISO and six sigma.
